Tri-County saw their record improve to 5-1 on the season with a strong second half effort at Clinton Prairie on Friday night. The Cavaliers outscored the Gophers 26-14 after halftime, 20 of those points coming in the third quarter, on their way to a 32-26 win.
Senior quarterback Dalton Justice led the Cavalier offensive attack totaling 354 yards with 306 of those coming on the ground. Justice also rushed for 4 touchdowns on the night. Junior Sam Getz rushed for another 64 yards on 17 carries. Junior Kale Lawson hauled in one pass for 26 yards leading the Cavs in the receiving category.
Defensively the Cavaliers used a team effort all night with junior Hunter Musser leading that attack with 12 tackles including a tackle for a loss. Justice added 10 tackles while senior Drew Moseley added 7 tackles and 2.5 tackles for a loss.
Tri-County wraps up their home schedule this coming Friday by hosting Midwest Conference rival the Frontier Falcons for a 7:00 kick-off.
