Cavaliers News · Cavalier men finish weekend 2-0

The Cavalier men improved to 6-0 over the weekend defeating Midwest Conference rival North White 93-46 on Friday (12/15) and Covenant Christian 62-42 on Saturday night (12/16).

On Friday night the Cavaliers outscored the Vikings 30-9 in the second quarter and never looked back from there.  Tri-County put 4 players in double figures with Bennie Patterson leading the way with 30 points on 8 of 14 shooting.  Logan Waibel added a season high 16 points with Kale Lawson and Bryce Cook contributing 13 and 12 points respectively.  Sam Mueller added 6 points on the night with Dalton Justice and Owen Getz each collecting 5 points.

Logan Waibel finished the night with a double-double pulling down a team high 11 rebounds.  Patterson grabbed 8 rebounds while Justice handed out 9 assists.  Lawson had a team high 5 steals on the night.

Saturday night the Cavaliers took on undefeated Covenant Christian and pulled away in the fourth quarter outscoring the Knights 24-9 for a 62-42 victory.

The Cavaliers were paced by seniors Bennie Patterson and Bryce Cook who finished with 27 and 20 points respectively.  Drew Moseley and Dalton Justice finished with 5 points apiece.  Sam Mueller added 3 points with Logan Waibel finished with 2.

Cook and Patterson led the Cavaliers in rebounding with 7 and 6 boards respectively.  Patterson also handed out a team high 5 assists.

The Cavaliers are off until their White County match-up with Twin Lakes on Friday December 29 with the JV tipping off at 6:00 in Monticello.
