Wrestlers see their season come to an end at the Twin Lakes Sectional

Saturday morning the Tri-County wrestlers traveled to Twin Lakes to compete in the Twin Lakes IHSAA Sectional.  All wrestlers competed well and saw improvements from the beginning of the season, but fell short of advancing to next weekend’s regional. Saturday (1/27) Kylie Foster competed against 72 other gymnasts in the Merrillville Invite.  Kylie, once again, performed well.  She placed 5th on the vault with a 9.0, 8th in the uneven bars scoring an 8.45, 6th in the balance beam with a 8.825 and tied for 8th on the floor exercise with a 9.225.  These

Tuesday night (1/23) the Lady Cavs dropped a close battle to the Lady Oracles of Delphi by the score of 51-48. Cavalier wrestlers compete in the MWC match

The Cavalier wrestlers competed in the Midwest Conference match and finished 5th with a score of 41.0 Luke Ulrich finished second in the 138 weight class for the Cavaliers.  Drake Farrell, Keahi Zussman and Jordan Monroe each finished 3rd in their respective weight classes. Foster finishes 6th in All-Around

Kylie Foster competed this weekend in the McCuthcheon Invite and finished 6th in the All-Around.  In a field of approximately 38 girls, Foster did more than hold her own!  Kylie finished 8th on the uneven bars with a score of 7.9.  She also finished 6th in the floor (9.16), vault (9.0) and All-Around (34.74). The Tri-County boys split a pair of games this weekend, defeating Frontier by the score of 57-46 and losing to Clinton Prairie 43-42 on Saturday night. The Tri-County Cavaliers couldn’t overcome a cold shooting night suffering their first loss to county rival Twin Lakes (1/9) by the score of 65-56.  The Cavaliers finished 18 of 58 for 31% from the floor.
